What are the types of products that are exempted from registration?

No registration will be required from NEA for:- a) Fumigants controlled under the Hydrogen Cyanide (Fumigation) Act, even though these fumigants are used for vector (rodent) control; b) Repellents of non-chemical properties (e.g. light traps, ultra-sound devices); c) Pesticides/ repellents imported solely for re-export purpose; d) Pesticides solely for agricultural and/ or for gardening purpose; (Details can be found at www.ava.gov.sg) e) Pesticides that are targeted at pests other than the five vectors (i.e. mosquitoes, flies, cockroaches, rodents and rat fleas).

NEA does not keep a list of prohibited insecticides but has a list of registered public health pesticide and repellent products intended for use against mosquitoes, flies, rodents, cockroaches and rat fleas, in Singapore. Details are available Here.

What are the types of pesticide and repellent products that require registration with NEA?
|
|
Under the Control of Vectors and Pesticides Act , all public health pesticide products and repellents intended for use against the five vectors (i.e. mosquitoes, flies, cockroaches, rodents and rat fleas) in Singapore are required to be registered by the National Environment Agency prior to local sale.
